A visit to the Großes Torfmoor

Today we visited for the first time the nature reserve Großes Torfmoor near Hille for a short hike. Although we have been in Minden-Lübbecke for 10 years now, we had not yet managed to visit the peat bog because we had hardly any time for leisure activities with the renovation and the garden.

The approximately 550-hectare nature reserve Großes Torfmoor in Minden-Lübbecke is considered one of the most important raised bogs in North Rhine-Westphalia. We would have liked to visit the NABU visitor centre Moorhus, but due to the current Covid-19 situation we will make up for that later.
